My interest in nutrition began in high school after witnessing my mom’s journey in transforming her health and well-being. Seeing the impact that food and lifestyle changes had on her inspired me to pay closer attention to my own food choices and sparked a love for cooking. Although nutrition wasn’t my first career path, I’ve always had a lasting curiosity about how nutrition shapes our lives.
I began studying nutrition in 2006 at Suffolk County Community College, but life took me in a different direction for a number of years. Eventually, I returned to my studies with renewed focus and completed my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Queens College. In 2019, I officially became a registered dietitian after passing the national exam.
Throughout my training, I completed two internships—one through Suffolk and another through the Keith & Associates Distance Dietetic Internship Program. These experiences gave me hands-on exposure to a wide range of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, school districts, private practices, and community education programs.
To date I’ve held jobs in private practice, hospitals, and nursing homes. Out of all those experiences, I found that private practice is where I truly thrive. I love building long-term relationships with clients and supporting them through their unique wellness journeys.
As a hobby, I used to compete in ballroom and international Latin dancing. That experience deepened my appreciation for the role nutrition plays in everyday life—especially when it comes to energy, endurance, and performance.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me cooking, dancing, gardening, spending time with family and friends, or hanging out with my dog, Zeppole.
I’m so glad you’re here! I look forward to meeting you all and being part of your health and wellness journey.
Until Next Time,
Nicole
